Boom’s Water-Free Turbines Target AI Energy Bottlenecks

Boom Supersonic is developing water-free turbines to address data center power bottlenecks, with CEO Blake Scholl citing years-long wait times and high secondary-market prices for turbines. The company is also building an all-digital foundry to reduce blade design to single crystal casting time to 24 hours, following the Oct. 22 unveiling of its first supersonic turbine core and a 2GW Superpower Superfactory in south Denver.
