Microsoft is offering voluntary severance packages to approximately 60,000 eligible workers across the US, Canada, India, and the UK, representing about 27% of its global headcount of 223,000 as of June. The buyouts exclude employees on data center teams and are intended to reduce labor costs to increase spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure.
