GM Targets 2 Year Vehicle Cycle to Match Chinese Rivals

General Motors is restructuring its software and autonomous driving capabilities to shorten vehicle development cycles to as little as 2 years using artificial intelligence. The automaker plans to deploy a new generation of autonomous cars and integrate a native OnStar AI assistant, debuting in the 2027 Cadillac Lyrio via an over-the-air update.
