Google and Voltus Expand PJM Virtual Power Plant to 1 GW

Google and Voltus are scaling their joint virtual power plant initiative in the PJM region to more than 1 GW, up from 100MW, to better balance power loads for large data centers. The expansion allows the firms to integrate a wider array of distributed assets into the grid by aggregating small-scale power sources to function as a single utility-scale plant.
