Interactions between 20 participants, including both humans and AI agents, can now occur in a shared world generated on the fly in real time. Odyssey's new Agora-2 model eliminates the need for a traditional game engine by using the AI itself to generate the environment, ensuring that every action taken by a participant affects the space for all others.

The new world model supports five times the capacity of its predecessor, Agora-1, though a current research preview limits occupancy to 16 agents and 4 humans. Odyssey intends for the technology to be used to train robotics, autonomous vehicles, and cybersecurity agents, as well as to study agent collusion in a safe environment before deployment to real-world systems.
