Anthropic Claude Outage Hits API and App, Extending Daily Error Streak Since Aug 12

The mobile application, API, Claude Code, and Cowork tools all suffered disruptions on August 24 after the company's status page reported elevated errors across the Mythos 5, Fable 5, Opus 5, and Opus 4.8 models. The incident resulted in failed chat retries and agent errors for users relying on the services for software development.

The disruption is the latest in a sequence of stability issues, with the status page indicating degraded performance nearly every day since Aug 12. Anthropic reported that Opus 5 and Fable 5 had stabilized by 09:47 Oslo time, while the company continued to address success rates for the remaining models.
