Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed committed a package of approximately $46 billion for new projects in Germany during an official visit targeting AI, energy, and digital infrastructure. The capital injection includes about 1 GW of new data centers and allocates €10 billion specifically for the state of Bavaria. German authorities also approved daily flights from Emirates Dubai to Berlin as part of the expanded diplomatic ties.
The new commitment increases the UAE's total investment in the country from the previous €34 billion. Twenty-nine separate corporate agreements worth more than €9.4 billion were also signed during the visit to support the growth of industry and technology. These moves are part of a broader effort by the Gulf nation to deepen strategic partnerships throughout Europe.
