The AI chatbot President Trump launched this week as the front door to the federal government provides answers that contradict his false claims on election fraud and immigration, the New York Times found. At launch, the bot said Joe Biden won the 2020 election, and MeidasTouch reported the site described Trump as the "former" president and acknowledged his criminal indictments. The site has since begun declining some political questions.
The portal, built by the National Design Studio under Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia and powered by Google's Gemini and xAI's Grok, pulls answers only from official government sources and consolidates roughly 29,000 federal websites into a single interface. Trump signed an executive order at the Washington launch event directing every federal agency to integrate its public-facing services with the site as soon as possible. Trump told the audience the site "cannot in theory be hacked into. And when they figure a way to do that, we'll end it, because they always figure a way, right?"
