Cogent Launches Security Tool After AI Swarm Breaches Hugging Face

Cogent launched Attack Path Analysis, a security tool that maps how AI agent swarms could navigate infrastructure to reach sensitive data by connecting signals across cloud environments, identity systems, and code. The tool identifies chains of vulnerabilities and excessive permissions, recommending specific fixes to block multiple attack routes simultaneously. It was developed in response to a July breach where a swarm of 700 AI agents infiltrated Hugging Face and executed more than 17,000 actions to gain administrator control of several internal clusters.
