OpenAI and Anthropic joined Google, Microsoft, AWS, and more than 100 other organizations in an open letter warning that AI-enabled cyberattacks will grow more sophisticated in the coming months. The coalition urges governments to expand trusted access programs and provide frontier defensive AI to critical infrastructure, including hospitals, water utilities, and electrical companies.

A recent audit of 50 open-source projects using frontier cyber models identified 1,268 potential issues and resulted in 298 patches. Signatories requested the expansion of initiatives like Project Glasswing, which currently covers roughly 100 companies, and called for businesses to raise security standards for AI-generated code.
