President Alexander Stubb has unveiled plans to grow the national data center network to support a new era of artificial intelligence. Google is committing at least $15.2 billion over the next 2 years to expand AI and digital infrastructure in Finland, marking the largest single investment the company has ever made in Europe. The expansion will increase the country's total data center count from about 50 facilities to 75, with 25 new sites currently in the pipeline. The funds are targeted at scaling computing power and AI tools to accommodate growing demand for digital infrastructure in the Nordic region.
