SynLat, a text-latent chain-of-thought framework, aligns compression boundaries with syntactic structure through non-overlapping Syntax-Aligned Units and matches or exceeds the strongest evaluated baseline in all 12 task-group aggregates across two Qwen3 Student scales and three compression levels.
