Satya Nadella has announced a new vision for the company's AI tools that centers on a unified ecosystem for managing enterprise workflows across all devices. Microsoft is updating Copilot to function as a work operating system by introducing Autopilot, a long-running agent for enterprises, and Code, a tool for building apps within company tenants. The release, described by Nadella as the biggest update to date, also integrates a Home hub for collaboration, fully embeds Office tools into the assistant, and adds a proactive information feed called Today across M365 and Teams.
The Code feature will enter preview for Microsoft 365 Premium and Pro subscribers later this year. The Today experience in the Home hub will begin private preview in October for users and will expand to Outlook and Teams shortly after.
