The professional services provider's valuation surged after its most recent financial results suggested a fundamental shift in how the market views the risk of automation. While some investors had feared generative tools would cannibalize consulting hours, the company's actual performance indicated that clients are paying more for help implementing artificial intelligence.

Accenture shares jumped 20% in premarket trading after the firm reported that GAAP operating margins rose to 15.3% from 11.6% a year ago. Revenue for the fourth quarter reached $18.7 billion, beating expectations of $18.03 billion, and earnings per share were $3.29 against an estimated $3.18. For fiscal 2027, the consultancy projects revenue growth of 3% to 6% and diluted EPS between $14.39 and $14.81.
