Disruptive and Nvidia participated in a Series A financing round for Groq to help the Mountain View company expand its AI compute infrastructure. The company raised $350 million at a $3.5 billion valuation, contributing to a total of $1 billion raised over the past two months. The capital will support medium and large scale clusters of accelerated computing for training and inference.
The current valuation is roughly half the $6.9 billion mark set in September 2025. This figure reflects a transition after Nvidia licensed Groq's technology for its Vera Rubin architecture and hired founder Jonathan Ross and other key technical personnel. Groq plans to increase its data center capacity from 54 MW to over 200 MW by 2027.
