From Events to Reasoning: Hierarchical Rule Composition over Explicit States

arxiv.org

Researchers present the Event Reasoning System (ERS), which uses an explicit event graph to represent reasoning states and employs semantic features and declared rule conditions to ensure only admissible operations execute. The system uses low-level rules for local transformations and recursively composable high-level control rules to organize subgoals and legal paths, enabling dependency-preserving revision when premises change.
