Bank of America has hired 1,000 contractors to address software vulnerabilities identified by Anthropic's Mythos model, using a version of Claude with permissive safeguards for vetted professionals through a three-tier clearance system. Anthropic's Cyber Mission includes a free vulnerability scanner for open source projects that found over 29,000 candidate vulnerabilities in six months, with human teams triaging about 6,000 of them, and a Critical Infrastructure Defense Program with partners including CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Hitachi.
