The cloud unit of Amazon will change how it charges for EC2 Capacity Blocks for ML in all regions starting Oct. 7. Prices for reserved GPU capacity will rise by about 15%, with B300 accelerator rates increasing to $16.146 per hour from $14.04 and H100 rates climbing to $5.97 from $5.191. This marks the fourth straight quarterly hike, bringing year to date increases for H100 and B300 models to between 40% and 75%.
Pricing for On-Demand and Savings Plans remains the same, while AWS stated that Capacity Block pricing is dynamic and adjusted based on supply and demand. Wells Fargo believes this pricing power will support revenue acceleration into early 2027 and maintains an Overweight rating on Amazon with a target price of $338.
