The AI coding tool is now available for general use with the introduction of monthly subscription plans. Meta designed the updated version to handle complex engineering tasks by using multi-agent workflows that split work across teams of subagents to produce a single result.

An SDK in developer preview allows engineers to build custom agents that can be embedded in applications and connected to custom tools. These updated capabilities include the ability to share context across sessions, stream progress, and resume work later.
