The 'fn' key now triggers a high-accuracy voice input tool that allows users to enter text into any active program on their computers. This functionality is provided via a new Meta AI application for macOS that enables system-wide dictation across the desktop environment.
Early users including Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang and Meta employee Spencer Barnett praised the tool's precision and efficiency. One user reported that more than half of the text they enter into their computer is now handled through the app's dictation feature.
