Municipalities across the United States are canceling agreements for surveillance cameras provided by Flock. This local-government pullback follows an order from Texas Governor Greg Abbott to pause state funding for the network and a plan by Senator Bernie Sanders to introduce a federal bill banning the AI mass surveillance systems.

Flock says new city contracts still outpace cancellations by roughly 10 to 1. The company continues to expand its surveillance footprint despite the increase in terminated agreements and growing political scrutiny.
