DC Advances Bill to Allow Waymo With First-in-Nation Automation Tax

Councilmember Charles Allen scheduled a markup for Nov. 9 on proposed legislation. This bill would authorize Waymo to operate its autonomous vehicle ride-hailing service in Washington. The bill would establish a tax on automation to generate revenue for the city's public transit systems.
