Tổng thống Donald Trump tuyên bố trên Truth Social vào ngày 8/10 rằng Nhà Trắng coi bất kỳ ai sử dụng cụm từ Artificial Intelligence thay vì Super Intelligence là "THE ENEMY!". Ông mô tả thuật ngữ ưa thích của mình là "thuật ngữ mới, chính xác hơn và được chấp nhận rộng rãi".
Bộ Tư pháp đã chỉ đạo nhân viên vào ngày 6/10 phải sử dụng cụm từ Super Intelligence thay cho AI, bao gồm cả trong các hồ sơ chính thức tại tòa án. Sắc lệnh hành pháp ngày 29/9 của Donald Trump yêu cầu các cơ quan liên bang sử dụng Super Intelligence và SI trong các thông tin liên lạc chính thức ở mức tối đa mà luật pháp cho phép, đồng thời tuyên bố nhánh hành pháp sẽ không công nhận các thuật ngữ cũ trong những bối cảnh phù hợp.
Jeff Bezos đã ủng hộ tên gọi mới vào ngày 7/10 khi nói rằng "Tôi thích SI" vì "từ artificial không mang tính khen ngợi cho lắm". Elon Musk cũng thông báo kế hoạch đổi tên đơn vị AI của SpaceX từ SpaceXAI thành SpaceXSI. Ngược lại, Thống đốc California Gavin Newsom đã ký một sắc lệnh vào ngày 30/9 chỉ đạo các cơ quan tiểu bang tiếp tục sử dụng cụm từ artificial intelligence.
