A deal to finance a 10 GW Ohio data center project involves a capital injection into a SoftBank developer and revised credit commitments to support a leading AI startup. Nvidia is in talks to invest $3 billion in SB Energy, which is managing the buildout of the site known as Project Stargate. This investment is tied to roughly $100 billion in credit support provided by the chipmaker to facilitate the first phase of construction.

The financing structure represents a reduction from an initial $250 billion backstop previously discussed by the companies. This reduction is designed to lower Nvidia's balance sheet exposure and address investor concerns while keeping the overall physical ambitions of the 10 GW campus intact.
