An Anthropic researcher developed a mathematical proof regarding the properties of a specific complex geometric object. Levent Alpöge solved the classical open problem of whether the 6-sphere admits a complex structure, a question that has remained unanswered since 1948, by collaborating with the company's Claude AI.

The findings were shared via a PDF document, with Alpöge describing the resulting geometric object as beautiful. He noted that the AI contains multitudes in its capacity to approach the long-standing mathematical puzzle.
