OpenAI will hold its 2026 developer conference on September 29 at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Executive Tibo Sottiaux stated the gathering will be the best in the company's history, adding that the superiority of this year's event "will not be close." The company has designated the conference as its largest activity of the year.
The event schedule includes "DevDay Exchanges" as a supplement to the primary conference. Previous gatherings launched products including ChatGPT Apps, AgentKit, and the Sora 2 API. Industry observers suggest the 2026 event may introduce a new model series, such as GPT-6, or updates to the company's developer Agent infrastructure.
