Divergence Labs Uses Claude AI to Design New Food Allergy Antibody Treatment

Divergence Labs used the Claude AI assistant from Anthropic to develop an initial antibody treatment for food allergies, completing the design and experimental confirmation of the treatment's biophysical function within 30 days. The proposed antibody uses a two-arm format to actively remove IgE from the FcεRI receptor on mast cells, which the company says would offer a faster alternative to Xolair, the only current approved treatment for the condition. Divergence Labs is currently assembling the confirmed antibody arms into full therapeutic formats for further development.
