Advanced Micro Devices gained 9.95% to $615.52, crossing $1 trillion in market value for the first time, while Intel and Arm jumped 12.2% and 17% respectively.

The S&P 500 closed 1.52% higher at 7,766.76 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.79% to 52,090.00. Global trade in AI-enabling goods grew 42% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2026, representing 18.7% of world merchandise trade. Total worldwide data center capital expenditure is forecast to exceed $3 trillion by 2030, with the five largest US hyperscalers spending $697 billion in 2026, $173 billion above January forecasts.
