Jay Clayton has been named as the artificial intelligence czar and chair of the Super Intelligence Force, a new interagency body tasked with evaluating advanced computing models. The group began a 120-day review of technology risks on Oct. 15 and will use existing liability laws to hold companies accountable for model behavior. The task force includes Vice President JD Vance and various cabinet secretaries, with FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson likely to lead the practical development of the group's oversight strategy.
