Chỉ số cổ phiếu trên sàn Seoul giảm mạnh sau đợt sụp mạnh thị trường chip nhớ AI vào tháng 7, khiến cổ phiếu Samsung và SK Hynix bán tháo mạnh. Biên độ biến động này khiến Kospi trở thành thị trường hiệu suất kém nhất toàn cầu trong quý 3, ghi nhận mức giảm lớn nhất kể từ quý 1 năm 2020. Để so sánh, chỉ số CSI 300 Trung Quốc giảm 12,5% trong khoảng thời gian tương tự, trong khi S&P 500 tăng 2,3%.
Dù vẫn lên 60% so với đầu năm dù có những cú giảm gần đây. Tương lai tăng trưởng có thể bị giới hạn bởi lãi suất trái phiếu tăng và các vòng tăng lãi suất từ Ngân hàng Hàn Quốc, tạo rủi ro cho đợt tăng 185% trong dưới hai năm.
