President Donald Trump formally announced the Super Intelligence Force, naming Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon research and engineering chief Emil Michael and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor as its leaders.

The AI task force will coordinate the federal government’s engagement with consumers, public interest groups, religious organizations, critical infrastructure providers and AI companies. It will report to Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

The group has 120 days to report on AI’s risks, opportunities and the federal government’s responsibilities, the Wall Street Journal previously reported. Its work includes plans to address cyberattacks, bioweapons and job losses while maintaining US leadership in AI and preventing overregulation.
