Taiwan's government will provide loan guarantees and visa assistance to help smaller component makers relocate to a new $4B Texas facility. The project is the first of several planned industrial hubs in the US, each estimated to cost between $2B and $4B, to house auxiliary suppliers for TSMC and Foxconn as they shift production overseas. The initiative aims to establish a domestic production base for Nvidia and other AI hardware producers within the US, with Taipei having already secured land for the initial Texas complex.
