Sachin Katti will resign as OpenAI's head of computing capacity next month to start a new venture, remaining an advisor after Nov. 15. During his tenure, he built infrastructure partnerships with companies including Nvidia, Broadcom, AMD, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, AWS, and CoreWeave, and oversaw double-digit gigawatts of compute capacity across Ohio and Georgia sites. Uday Ruddarraju, formerly of xAI and X, now leads the compute and infrastructure businesses as the department plans a $750 billion investment in capacity projects including the Stargate data center effort.
