SpaceX Targets 250kW Average Power for VR72 With Nvidia

Elon Musk is coordinating with engineers at Nvidia to develop high power computing hardware for use in both orbital and ground infrastructure. The SpaceX version of the VR72 aims for an average power of nearly 250kW, a target that would push peak power levels approximately 10% higher. Musk attributed the progress to a close working partnership and co-design effort with the Nvidia engineering team.

The increased power capacity would apply to ground-based systems as well as SpaceX hardware. Musk described the potential result as a "big deal" if the design pans out.
