Snowflake Launches Serverless Platform for Training Open-Weight AI Models

Snowflake launched Cortex Training, a serverless platform for training open-weight AI models without managing GPU infrastructure. The service allows developers to build and deploy customized versions of open-weight models while the company handles hardware operations, and it integrates with the OpenHands agent harness for post-training using existing agent tasks and configurations. Cortex Training was developed by Snowflake's AI Research team and its Arctic RL group over the course of this year.
