FICO will eliminate about 15% of its workforce to integrate artificial intelligence into its product suite and simplify internal processes. Critics have attributed the job reductions to a loss of customers after the company reportedly increased prices 17 times over five years. FICO shares have declined 64% this year as mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac move to allow the use of competing scores from VantageScore.
