Elia Zaitsev will partner with two former company executives at Cognition to invest in early-stage firms developing AI-driven security tools. The venture firm is raising $170M for the fund. Zaitsev is stepping down from his role as global chief technology officer at CrowdStrike.
The departure concludes a 13 year tenure for the executive at the cybersecurity firm. Cognition intends to provide capital to startups building security solutions designed specifically for artificial intelligence environments.
