New billing rates for the company's model ecosystem took effect on August 16, pushing the costs of basic access toward the levels of the GPT 5 series. The lightweight model's new rate of 3 yuan for input and 9 yuan for output represents the steepest cost adjustment since the V4 lineup was introduced.
Developer groups reported that current project budgets are no longer sustainable under the new rates. OpenCode Go revised its API usage limits to reflect the change, while other providers are testing new hosting setups to try and restore pricing closer to previous levels.
