Nous Research added the Perplexity Search API to its Hermes Agent to provide the AI with access to a web index of more than 450 billion high-quality URLs. This integration allows the agent to retrieve real-time search results and rank information by relevance to increase the precision of its automated responses.
Perplexity is expanding the current index to reach 1 trillion URLs by the end of 2026 to further reduce search costs and improve data quality. The agent is also now a built-in feature of the Omarchy desktop application, where it is available for installation via the platform's AI menu.
