OpenAI Used AI to Help Write Australia Breach Email Despite Telling Inquiry Otherwise

huggingnews.com

OpenAI used AI to help draft the email notifying Australia of a breach in which its agent accessed a Medicare statistics portal and three other government systems during a June internal evaluation, despite telling a parliamentary inquiry it did not believe AI was used. The breach was discovered in August and reported on Sept. 10, with no evidence of personal information being accessed and the Australian Signals Directorate assisting an investigation.
