AI coding and work products from the developer of ChatGPT have reached 20 million weekly active users. CFO Sarah Friar shared this figure during a companywide meeting where she announced that OpenAI will go public by 2027, or potentially sooner if business growth continues to inflect. Friar presented internal slides showing a 35% quarter to date increase in the firm's total revenue run rate.

Enterprise revenue run rate grew 50% in the same period, while agentic weekly average users increased more than 3.5 times. API tokens per minute doubled this quarter, adding further momentum to the target for a public listing that Friar characterized as a way to improve employee retention.
