Miami-based Doxx.net has launched a serverless system for peer-to-peer calling, messaging, and file transfers between humans and AI agents. The company secured $38 million in Series A funding led by a16z, with participation from Animo Ventures, to deploy what it calls Agentic Defined Networking. The platform eliminates the need for central servers by connecting devices and agents into encrypted meshes.
Founder Barrett Lyon, who previously pioneered the DDoS defense industry with Prolexic, built the system as a U.S. based global overlay network with its own BGP and DNS. The network supports IPv6 and maintains no centralized logs to protect against data collection. a16z noted that AI agents expand the surface area available for attacks, while Doxx.net reports it has blocked more than 38 million threats since December.
