Iran has established the Persian Gulf Data Authority to monitor and restrict resources provided to artificial intelligence firms in the region. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated the authority will track and limit finance, equity, land, and energy flows to tech companies accused of aiding military invasions or harming children. He warned that regional governments or investment funds supporting such firms will face direct enforcement from the Iranian government.
