Salesforce Agrees to Buy AI Startup Cresta for Reported $2.7B

The cloud software provider has entered into a binding agreement to purchase a maker of contact-center technology that specializes in the analysis of customer service interactions. Salesforce did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but a person familiar with the matter told The Information that the startup is being acquired for $2.7B.

The integration will bring AI voice agents into Salesforce's Service Cloud to help companies track customer resolution and retention. The purchase is the 10th acquisition Salesforce has made this year, marking a valuation increase for Cresta, which was valued at $1.6B in 2022 and raised $125M in a Nov. 2024 funding round.
