Micron Pauses Construction of $4.5B Taiwan Memory Plant After Labor Row

Micron has paused construction of its $4.5B Taiwan memory plant in Taoyuan after clashing with a local union over worker bonuses. The facility, which was scheduled to produce DRAM and high-bandwidth memory using ASML equipment starting in 2028, remains suspended as leadership expresses concern over potential changes to labor agreements. Micron confirmed its other Taiwanese operations continue normally.
