Anthropic Targets $100 Billion IPO at $2 Trillion Valuation in Largest Offering Ever
Funding41d agoFinancial advisors for the San Francisco AI startup have briefed potential investors on a public listing intended to surpass all previous market debuts. The company targets a $2T valuation and aims to raise more than $100B, a scale that would exceed the $86.2B raise of SpaceX. This push follows rapid growth for the developer of the Claude AI models, which reported annualized revenue topping $65B, up from $9B at the end of 2025.
Anthropic plans to file its prospectus by the end of August with a potential listing by October. The company will list growing public backlash against artificial intelligence as a risk factor and has assembled a banking lineup including Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan. Investors are also scrutinizing the firm's access to computing power and its ability to sustain premium pricing for its services against competitors.
