The Chinese AI developer Zai is dedicating 60% of its latest capital raise to a "Fully Self Training" system. This investment finances next generation GLM models via a recursive self-improvement loop where each AI iteration builds the training environments for its successor. The $5 billion fund supports the computational and research resources required for the company's autonomous model development.
Additional capital from the investment round increases Zai's integration with domestic compute resources. The funding allows the company to scale its GLM architecture and the accompanying infrastructure needed to facilitate recursive self-improvement for future model versions.
