General Motors PPU and RV Tech, a joint venture between Volkswagen and Rivian, are utilizing agentic AI to reshape their core hardware development processes. The software provider, Flow, has secured $50M in a Series B funding round co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valor and Gavin Baker of Atreides. The investment values the startup at $750M and included participation from Sequoia Capital and Roelof Botha.

Flow's platform uses AI agents to automate digital manual labor, such as CAD, analysis, and simulation, to move engineers toward focusing on architecture and invention. The company's current clients include Anduril, Joby, and Stoke Space. Founder Parisingh expects AI to move from integrating work to performing the work itself within the next year, attempting to align complex hardware pipelines in a manner similar to how Git and GitHub transformed software.
