The Department of War will invest $1.5B to manufacture cutting-edge semiconductor chips in North Carolina, a project President Donald Trump announced on Oct 21 and described as "a very very big one" for the United States. The funding will build facilities for processor components used in nearly all advanced electronic hardware.
