U.S. regulators are intensifying their scrutiny of the firms building the most capable artificial intelligence systems. The Federal Trade Commission has launched an investigation into OpenAI and Anthropic, as well as other entities developing so called super intelligence models.
The investigation is described as a sweeping probe of the industry's most advanced capabilities. The inquiry focuses on the leading developers of high end AI to examine the current state of super intelligence model development.
